The .info domain which is known to be a generic top level domain are basically suited for informative websites. Although .info domain has been successful with over 3 million registrants the value of this domain is very low when compared with prestigious domains like .com, .net, .org etc

This is one of a type of unrestricted domain which anyone can obtain and use as a second level domain like .com, .net etc. Many sites have been using .info domain but the domain price of this level is unpredictable that it goes on decreasing.

    They have lowered the fees for 1st yr only, i think!
    I will get myself a .com domain when i will start earning some money from my blog. No other hope for me for paying hosting & domain fees. 😀

    You are right. Most of these are available only for the first year. I purchased the domain for $4, but it was only for the first year. After that they charge around 9$ or so.
    Also its always good to get a .com domain, atleast I prefer that. 🙂

    This is actually a sale kind of type, if you prefer to have for two years you should pay in the initial itself until the offer closes.. btw .com is a good domain ext since its universal but i prefer .info for anyone who cannot afford .com
