Pick the Best 250 cc bike - pulsar, fazer and taurus

As you all know day by day people giving up mass transit and opting to buy their own vehicle which gradually made the automobile industry hot. Nowadays we can experience an increase in vehicles as well as traffic but without caring about the future the automobile industry is firing up the market with brand new models and features that inspires customers to buy their own vehicle.
Born out of this competition, came up these three beasts that burn up the Indian roads. They are none other than Bajaj Pulsar 250cc, TVS Taurus Fiero f3 and Yamaha Fazer 250. Economic bike drivers please stay away from this post and keep worrying about your petrol consumptions while young energetic drivers out there I am sure these bikes will quench your test. The main catch about these bikes are their 250 Cubic capacities but they inherit different design and performance.
Hope everyone will eagerly be waiting for launch of these vehicles in India but until then I want your personal suggestion of which bike outta 3 will rock?
So go ahead and post your comments for which out of these three bikes goanna rock the Indian roads and why?
The nominations are
Bajaj Pulsar 250 cc
TVS Taurus Fiero F3
Yamaha Fazer 250
I am eagerly waiting for your comments on it…

Hi I’m inspired to the looks of the TVS taurus, specially about the Italian look it has. And also about the twin disc, in the front and at the rear. The bike will be the favourite of all young’s and youth’s.
It will have a good competition with bajaj pulsar 250 because as you know the popularity of pulsar’s lower segments, like pulsar 150 and 180.
Can you please give me the more detail about TVS Taurus, like when is it hitting the road and what will be the price of it.

Hi, I am a Sri Lankan. I think Yamaha Fazer is the best bike out of three. Because they already have their Big Fazer bikes coming with 600cc,1000cc etc.Tvs & Bajaj are only photo type. Because this is the first time they produce Big bikes. Yamaha has high technology in their Bikes & more powerfull.
But perhaps the price of the Fazer might be Unaffordable.

600 and 1000cc bikes in sri lanka ? whoah.. Yes Ruwan you are right.. Yamaha already are in racer bike business…well TVS and Bajaj getting into High powered biking just now but as per India is concerned.. People don’t care about background of the company… they want the looks and macho…

don’t have much options; among the three I would go for pulsar

Tarus doesn’t seem to compete with Pulsar, it’s a different class. I’ll pick Fazer because I can bet that it’ll be well priced!

Hi friends,
I personllay feel that Taurus looks the best and Bajaj really needs to work on the looks becuase they can’t have Pulsar looking the same across(150CC - 250 CC).
It’s time that we should 250cc/500cc/1000cc bikes in India if we are really looking out people to enjoy fine biking or most of us will be only looking at various bike magzines and wishing to ever see/ride such great bikes in India.
If Bajaj,Honda, Yamaha, TVS and other bikes manufacturers in India happen to see this messgae, I can definately tell them that people in India are crazy about such bikes and they will definately have end customers who would love to buy these
kind of sports bike.
Lot of people are spending over 1 lakh on their bikes to get them modified and still get the stupid underperformed engine output woik some exterior paint and changes. They would love to spend around 3 -5 lakhs, which will need no such modification, also will have the power required and with financing getting such easy, you will see a great market for such bikes in India.
They should either manufacture or import such sports bikes in India or people will dream of such bikes because everybody can’t afford to pay 300% duty to import such bikes in India.

I don’t believe that Tarus or Fazer will come any time soon, they have been hyping about these for more than an year now, the Only reality is the P220 about 16 of them launched in Pune 3 months ago.
Not to disappoint people but they tis the truth (to the best of my knowledge)
Cheers

Hi All,
I have been waiting for yamaha fazer 250 since a year… I have huge collections of it, haven’t heard abt it… Taurus Seems like good mechanism but as well known yamaha been on tracks from the early ages and i don’t believe in release of taurus within 2008 atleast. I have Rx 100 still rocking and raping the roads with hit its beats… I have been spending money on its modifications… Rather just posting the Pics manufaturers can come forward to release them… fazer has been doing good in Brazil and nothing much needs to be reenmgineered in it… Pulsar looks horrible with its front fairing and bored its same looks… Is there anyoine have any idea abt the release of fazer??

well talk about 200+ cc bikes in India, we are all love to get one. but…
companies do not come up with one coz all they want is profit. means mass production & large market share. for that they produce only commuter bikes.
international co like yamaha, honda, suzuki can.. they all have the tech, but they just want the profit, so giving us the old crap.. bikes with new stickers and old engine.
the scenario is slowly changing, Baja is here for the rescue, they r doing lot of R&D and comming with new power bikes. good going guys. they changed bike market in india. now others have to be equally good to compete them.
now about the three bikes..
f3 taurus looks good
Fazer quality will be good.
bajaj good tech, but looks poor, playing with the old design.
but bajaj release the bike.
others only on paper!!!!
hee heee dream on.

Taurus is a concept bike, thats not going to be manufactured.
Fazer 250 will be never made in India.
Pulsar shown here is 220cc and it has already hit the roads.
But still if there is a vote, I would prefer 1. Taurus, 2. Fazer, 3. Pulsar and 4. Comet

my advice is that the look of bajaj pulsar 250 is not good as compared to bajaj pulsar 220. so in my views pulsar 220 is better than pulsar 250. if anyone want to go for 250 cc bike then go only for pulsar, don’t think over anyone (fazer or tauras. the pulsar is the best…….

HEY, NO DOUBT ONLY YAMAHA’s FAZER WILL RACK THE GROUND.
B’COZ………..
BAJAJ-PULSAR 220 DTS-Fi HAVE 220cc AND ONLY 20bhp@8500rpm.
ONLY PLUS POINT IS Fi SYSTEM. IT GIVES GOOD MILAGE THAN OTHER 250cc BIKE.IT HAS 150kg
IN TVS-TAURUS FIERO F3, THEY HAVE 247.5cc AND THE SAME 20bhp@9000rpm. HERE THE PLUS POINT IS SAFTY. THE ONLY INDIAN BIKE WITH DUAL 248mm DISC WITH 3-PISTON CALIPER (FRONT)
AND 220mm DISC WITH 1 PISTON CALIPER. ALSO IT HAVE MORE WEIGHT 157kg.
BUT IN YAMAHA’s-FAZER, IT HAVE 249.7cc ENGINE WITH 22.3bhp@7500rpm. SEE THE MAX.RPM IS LOW SO IT GIVES EXTREME PICKUP RATIO. IT CAN TOUCH 0-60kmph IN HEART BREAKIN 3.1sec.
BUT FAZER HAVE ONLY 137kg SO MORE SPEED MORE PICKUP AND MORE MILAGE.
WHERE AS PULSAR TOUCHES IN 4.3sec. AND
TAURUS FIERO F3 TOUCHES IN 4.1sec.
SO YAMAHA IS ALWAYS BEAT BEAST TO RIDE ON ROADS.

Gaurav on 04. September 2007 at 10:18 pm
Guyz hang on… Taurus is a concept bike so stop drooling over it… Apart from that Fazer does not seem to have any press release from any of the yamaha guys as they havent thought of it yet…
Well the reason why we are dreaming of these bikes is because it an assumption from our hypocritical media who have their horses thinking too much simply because they think since Bajaj is out with its 250 cc Damsel Yamaha and TVS,Suzuki wanna be a part of the competition…
Wait until we hear it from the horses mouth about the Fazer… forget the Taurus its not for public yet… So if u really wanna go for a power packed beauty… Go with Pulsor which is promising us the power however reliability is something that we should leave for the time to decide… else our very own Karizma which has delivered and proven its reliabilty and performance by leaving her proud owners with a broad smile on their faces…
Thats all from me People… Adios!!!

Bajaj, screwed in 250 cc style.
i am the first owner of 150 cc (first release) and i still love that look (though i am in US since past 3 yrs)
i would never buy 250 cc. atleast by teh looks.
I loved the style and looks of the new 300cc, hope they launch it on the road.
Best for me: Bajaj buys Ducati and launches Bajaj-Monster.
Ducati’s most sold bike.

i think fazer model is fine model performance to be checked in indian roads not in soomth roads but pickup to be compared with both pulsar & fazer and demand plays important . in personal i like the fazer model becoz i am have the centarl shockabozer which fine then pulsar 150cc

I think Fazer 250 will be more powerfull and more quicker than karizma. Out of the three bikes yamaha fazer 250 will be the best because yamaha is known for its compact design, lighter weight, better center of gravity of the bike, power and pick-up. And mainly we can feel than the top half of the bike-pulser is too heavy and bulky, but the top half weight of yamaha bikes are light which is very important while you avoid or steer suddenly to left or right. Most of the people have false understanding that “if the bike is heavy it has good road grip”—NO— a 125cc motocross bikes which are driven on wet-dirt-track-race is around 87kgs. The weight of the bike will affect on the road grip by only 20%. The main thing for road grip is the tyres which we use and the amount of pressure we use for braking and also our body-weight distribution. If the top half of the bike is heavy (like pulser), it topples very easily when we avoid or steer suddenly or apply brakes. According to my experience we should avoid or apply brakes, if we do both simultaniously will lead to a slide or crash.
